Daniel Kiley Appointed to Maricopa County Superior Court

May 19, 2010, PHOENIX - Sherman & Howard announces that Daniel J. Kiley, counsel in the firm's Arizona litigation practice, has been appointed to the Maricopa County Superior Court. Mr. Kiley will leave the firm on May 21 and begin his term as judge on June 1. Mr. Kiley was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Cathy Holt.

Mr. Kiley joined Sherman & Howard in January of 2009 when his former firm, Mohr, Hackett, Pederson, Blakley and Randolph, combined with Sherman & Howard. He has practiced law in the areas of commercial litigation, municipal law and appellate law. Prior to joining Mohr Hackett, he served as an Assistant Arizona Attorney General for nine years, prosecuting criminal cases at the trial and appellate levels with an emphasis on white collar crime.

Mr. Kiley received his law degree, cum laude, from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in 1988. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Harvard University in 1985.
