Sherman & Howard Associates’ 2010 Support of Legal Aid Foundation Recognized

July 26, 2010, DENVER - Sherman & Howard's Colorado employees have again contributed to the Legal Aid Foundation the highest per capita level of support of any Denver law firm of more than thirty associates.  The forty individual donations from Sherman & Howard to the Foundation's 2010 Associate Campaign for Justice raised approximately $3,500 to support legal services for low-income people.  Sherman & Howard attorneys Aaron Goldhamer and Sarah Peace coordinated the Firm's participation in the Campaign.  They were recognized, along with representatives from all of the firms who supported the Campaign, at the Legal Aid Foundation Board of Trustees meeting on July 14th at the Colorado Bar Association's offices.

The Legal Aid Foundation's Associate Campaign created per capita fund raising competitions among area law firms in three separate categories - those with 30+ associates, those with 11-29 associates and those with 10 associates or fewer. The Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. It was founded in 1981 to expand the funding base to support civil legal services for low-income people. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees comprised primarily of lawyers from around the state.
