- Assist families with the design of an estate plan to transfer funds in a way that family wealth may be a constructive influence in the life of each beneficiary family member and to effect the transfer of wealth with minimal federal gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
- Guide families in providing for the transfer of wealth, by gift and by testamentary transfer, for the benefit of charity, often including a family private foundation.
- Provide counsel with respect to the long-term maintenance and preservation of a vacation home, ranch, or family retreat.
- Assist with the transfer of a family business to the second and third generations, often in a circumstance in which not all of the younger family members will participate directly in company management.
- Provide counsel relating to the administration of estates, addressing the valuation of assets, the filing of the applicable tax returns, and the transferring of property (in trust or outright) to named beneficiaries.
